Artist’s Statement
My work is a search for place and meaning, amidst a landscape of long forgotten dreams. I am fascinated by artefacts and the lonely beauty of bearing witness.
I marvel at the forgiveness of nature and the intimate beauty of decline.
This visual language comes from the places where I’ve lived and my own, wild imaginings. I am interested in how we defend the territory of land and body, how we stand in truth and how we heal. I work with oil paint, wax and found materials on wood panels to tell stories.
